TOURNAMENT RULES
ATTENTION!!!!
COACHES WILL RECEIVE WRISTBANDS BEFORE FIRST GAME. TWO WRISTBANDS PER TEAM. COACH MUST HAVE I.D TO RECEIVE BANDS. COACHES WILL ALSO SIGN WAIVER AND CONFIRM ROSTER AT CHECK IN.
EACH TEAM WILL PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE SCORE KEEPER/STAT PERSON PER GAME.
G3 INVITATIONAL RULES Tournament Rules
Three Game Guarantee
GENERAL: Coaches will receive wristbands before first game. Two wristbands per team. Coach must have I.D. to receive bands. Coaches will also sign waiver and confirm roster at check in. Each team will provide at least on score keeper/stat person per game. Each team is allowed 2 coaches and all players’ free admission.
A player may only play for one team per age/grade division.
PLAYING TIMES: 1st Grade: (10 ft. Goals) 20 min (running clock) stops last 2 minutes OF 2ND half only 2nd Grade: 20 min (running clock) stops last 2 minutes 2 minutes OF 2ND half only 3rd Grade: 20min (running clock) stops last 2 minutes 2 minutes OF 2ND half only. 4th-8th 14 min halves with stop clock
HIGH SCHOOL: 16 min halves; stop clock NO DUNKING BEFORE GAMES
GAME BALLS: The official game size basketball for 7u, 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, & 12u: 28.5 Size game ball for 13U and up 29.9 size game ball. Each team is responsible for their warm up and game balls. Home team is also responsible for supplying the game ball.
HOME TEAM: Will be the team on the TOP in pool play and the team on TOP in bracket play.
TIME OUTS: Each team will be given 3time outs (1 Full, 2 30 seconds) per game.
FOULS: Teams will shoot one and one on the seventh team foul and two shots (bonus) on the tenth team foul. Player will foul out after their 6th foul.
OVERTIME: There will be a 2 minute running clock in every age group up until the last minute. Timeouts do not carry over. Each team gets one time out.
TIE BREAKER: In case of a 3-way tie the team or teams that allowed the fewest points in pool play will advance to bracket play.
MERCY RULE: Teams ahead by 20 or more points in the game will result in a running clock at any time. If the lead drops to 10 points, normal rules (stock clock) will resume. If a team is up by 15 or more points with 3 minutes left in the 2nd half the GAME IS OVER.
OTHER RULES: Each team will be given 3 minutes to warm up and 3 minutes for half-time.Each team is responsible for cleaning the bench area after the game is over.
PROFANITY: Any profanity by coaches or players could result in a technical foul. (Referees discretion). Absolutely no profanity towards the referees or your own players.
PROTEST: In case of Protest, coaches should be able to provide proof of grade and age. There is a $200 Protest fee.Fee will be refunded if protested is validated. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION!!!GHRS
